Aims and scope
Initially reserved for publications focusing on materials deposited in our own collections or topics related to the geology and palaeontology of Bavaria and adjacent regions, Zitteliana today is a journal for articles in all fields of paleontology and geobiology. We encourage submission of manuscripts on paleobiology, numerical paleontology, paleobiogeography, paleogenomics, palaeooceanography, biosedimentology, multiproxy and sequential stratigraphy, biodiversity research, and actuopaleontology, as well as contributions to the journal’s traditionally well-represented topics such as paleontological taxonomy, systematics, phylogeny, and regional geology.
Zitteliana A publishes original articles, comprehensive reviews, short communications, and technical/methodological notes on the topics listed above.
Zitteliana B is open to more extensive works such as Ph.D. theses or thematic monographs, and also thematic issues or conference proceedings, which may be published under the auspices of guest-editors.
